This Christmas, Instagram was my main inspiration for how to decorate my home. Obviously, I opted for a modern, minimalistic Scandinavian style. This not only looks good but suits my neutral home style. With so many beautiful pictures on Instagram, this was a tough post to put together.
I’ve put together some of my favourite images from the festive period. I gained plenty of inspiration from these images and I hope you will too for Christmas 2018. Get bookmarking these for next year, pinning to your Pinterest board and following this top accounts on Instagram. Enjoy!
Modern Greenery
Look at all that greenery! Who doesn’t want that? I particularly love the greenery above the archway. This is a great way to bring seasonal style into a home which is full of white walls. Simple, minimalist and modern.

Minimal Tree Decorations
This year I went for this ‘less is more’ style with my Christmas tree. Instead of using a ton of white baubles, I mixed it up with plain baubles and a few unusual but beautiful baubles – all without flooding every branch with decorations. This revealed more of the greenery and I loved the look!
Christmas Hygge
Christmas is made for hygge! Doesn’t this fireplace look perfect to sit beside whilst holding a glass of mulled wine? I’m loving this look and will definitely try recreating this in the corner of my home – no fireplace so a reading corner will do!
Little Christmas Trees
Why have just one Christmas tree? I loved the look of little Christmas trees throughout the house, especially in the kitchen or hallway. This year, I brought in a tree from outside I purchased last year. I bought it in a pot so I could bring it in year after year. The perfect way to bring some seasonal greenery into your home!
Stylish Festive Dining
Christmas styling doesn’t just stop in the lounge, bring it to the dining table for Christmas parties and even dinner on the 25th! I’m loving this simple style with greenery which looks fresh and minimal. This would even look good for a New Years Eve dinner party!
Minimalist Wreaths
This year has been all about modern wreaths. Have I complained? Hell no! I’m in love with simple wreaths which can add a touch of greenery to anywhere in the home. In my main hallway, I bought a light green wreath to greet guests as soon as they arrive. I also attached a few Scenticles to give a nice smell when opening the front door.
Natural Greenery Mantelpiece
Now, this is a mantelpiece I want all winter, not just for Christmas! With the simple background of white, the fresh eucalyptus and twinkling candles look modern and on-trend. It’s not too ‘Christmassy’ either, ideal for guest rooms or a dining room.
Festive Bar Cart
Christmas is all about festive drinks, so why not decorate the bar cart? With a clear glass vase and a couple of Christmas tree branches, this is a great way to make it look festive. The addition of the minimal baubles also makes it look stylish and modern!
I hope these instagram accounts will be plenty of inspiration for your Christmas decorating in 2018. Why not pin these to your Pinterest boards now and give the accounts a follow? You won’t want to miss any of them come December 2018!
From both Laura and I, we wish you a very Happy New Year! ?
